Getting Started
What services do you offer? We provide end-to-end website services and specialize in Framer. This includes website strategy, design, development, and support. We also enjoy supporting smaller or one-off tasks upon request.
What kind of projects do you typically work on? New Framer websites, migrations from other platforms, Figma-to-Framer builds, targeted fixes and optimization, site refreshes, ongoing support, and long-term partnerships.
What if I only need a small task? We handle focused fixes, optimizations, one-off requests, and consulting sessions. Reach out with what you need and we will see if we can be of assistance.
Where is Kintsu Labs based? We operate out of Calgary, AB, Canada. Most projects happen entirely remote. Local clients have the option for in-person, and select clients may fly us out for on-site collaboration.
Pricing
How do you determine pricing? It depends on scope and timeline. We explore what's needed in a casual manner and provide simple breakdowns before moving forward. Full end-to-end projects will typically range from CA$5,000 to $35,000. Support packages vary.
How do you keep payments/documents secure? Payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified provider using bank-grade encryption. Our contracts are signed via DocuSign with AES 256-bit encryption, providing reliable documentation for both parties.
Working Together
How do we get started? We don't do pitches and despise the classic "sales call", so you can expect a casual and friendly conversation. Communication can be sync or async. Once there's alignment, it's quick: a signed agreement and first payment.
What is your approach? We believe that great things come from being intentional with an objective then pursuing with relentless care. We like to keep the actual process simple and flexible while being efficient and effective.
What if priorities shift mid-project? For fixed projects, we issue a revised scope to account for changes. For retainers, adjustments roll into your engagement naturally. We never hit you with an unexpected bill.
How do you communicate and manage work? Email, Google Meet, Figma, Notion, and Framer form our core stack. If you prefer to use your in-house systems (e.g. slack, teams, trello, etc.) that works too.
Can you work with our in-house team? Think of us as an extension of your team. We can cover the full end-to-end process, integrate with your in-house staff, and work alongside third parties.
Ownership & Deliverables
Do I own everything you design? Once the invoice is paid, our work is yours. You may need to manage standard applicable third-party licenses that are clearly identified, but there are no complications from us.
Do you provide training on managing my site? Yes. Every project includes a basic handoff session on content updates and Framer basics. We can also provide a variety of training in terms of depth, delivery, and duration.
How is ongoing maintenance managed? Sites need regular updates to stay functional and secure. We discuss early whether you will manage this or we will, then build accordingly.
Can I get help with updates in the future? Of course. For those we have worked with before, we handle most one-off requests and can discuss ongoing support if that makes more sense.
